My *updated* Everyday Makeup

Some posey shots. If you hadn't noticed, my eyes are rather large!

Since starting Uni in September, I have become so very lazy with my makeup. Often I don't even bother at all, which is a massive difference to this time last year when I would rarely venture out of the house with my "face-on". In fact, the only things that change day-to-day are my eye shadow colour, and whether I'm wearing eye liner or not - that usually depends on how much time I have to get ready! So because of this, I felt it was time to update my everyday makeup on here. In the autumn/winter I generally go for darker makeup but tone it down in the springtime. My previous "everyday makeup" post was back in 2012 (which you can read here) and although some products have stayed the same, there are a few new additions. So without further ado, here is my everyday makeup:

Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
I have tried a few primers before but never got on with them. Some made my face all slimy, while others made my foundation go all peely. After having given up on primers all together, my friend finally convinced me to try this one. And thank goodness she did! I put a pea-sized squirt on my finger and rub it all over my face. It is light so my face doesn't feel oily, and my foundation glides on smoothly over it. And not only that, it makes my foundation go further so I don't need to use as much each time, and my foundation seems to stay on for longer. So an all round thumbs up!

Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation, 200 soft beige
Since discovering this line of foundation last year, I have hardly looked back. Swapping to the 201 shade in the summer (once I've caught the sun), this has been a staple product for me. It blends in nicely and is lightweight so my face doesn't feel overloaded with makeup. My skin looks fresher and just generally better with this on. I am also rather attracted to the bottle too as it is glass and looks quite professional.

Maybelline Fit Me concealer, 20
This is one of the products that hasn't changed since my previous everyday makeup post. I guess that's because it still works for me! It gets rid of any dark circles under my eyes and any spots that decide to show up. Although if pushed for time, I can go without it as my foundation does such a good job.

Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr, 65 Pink Gold
This is such a pretty, shimmery colour that is perfect for spring. It brightens my face, and although it is so quick and easy to apply, it stays on for such a long time. I don't really have much to say about this product as it is simple yet makes a noticeable difference.

MaxFactor Kohl Pencil, 20 black
This is another product that has stayed the same. I have played around with gel liners a bit more than before and tend to use them for nights out, however, my trusty pencil is just perfect for applying a simple and quick line. Pencils are so good for blending and smudging so I guess for all-round, this one wins!

Seventeen Pressed Powder, delicate beige
Yet again, this product is a long-running favourite of mine. It goes on easily and with my primer, stays on longer than before. I am considering trying a different powder once this one has run out as I fancy trying something new, not because I don't love this one, but I fancy a change. So if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments section!

Sleek MakeUp Blush, Suede 921
I hadn't been using this too much up until recently as it was too dark for my winter skin, however, it has warmed up, I've added some colour to my skin, and I feel like I can get this out again. I use it for contouring, so to make my cheek bones stick out more and it really works well with my skin tone. And to go from day makeup to night makeup, I simply add a bit more! Simple!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush, 50 live pink
This is another product that I tend to use spring/summer time as it makes my cheeks look all rosy :) It is a pretty little colour to add a little colour to my cheeks. It is well used but has lasted me quite a long time so I don't think I'll need to buy another one soon (although it looks like I'm about to run out) so I have definitely got value for money here.

Maybelline the Rocket volum' express mascara, black
Over the summer, I bought about 10 different mascaras of varying prices so I could try them all out and decide which was the best. This is the one I have ended up with. It instantly adds volume to my eyelashes, which is difficult as my lashes are stubborn! It isn't clumpy and lasts all day (and sometimes all night too). Definitely the best mascara I have tried.

Rimmel lash Accelerator Endless mascara, 1 black
This is another of my summer mascara purchases and I use it on my lower lashes. I found it didn't really work on my upper lashes as the brush is too small, it made little to no difference and felt like I had to cake it on for it to make even the slightest difference. However, I decided that because it was so small, it just might work on my lower lashes. And lo and behold, that is what I use it for! Because the brush is nice and small, it is more precise and there is less risk of it smudging onto my skin.

Ted Baker lipgloss
I got this as a present so I don't actually know what shade it is sorry! I love this colour as it is pretty and compliments the blusher I use. It goes on easily and doesn't leave my lips all sticky and horrible - a common problem with lipglosses. It is the perfect colour for the spring/summer time :)

I hope you enjoyed this little update. I always love having a sneeky peek at what products my friends use so I can get inspiration so I thought you'd like to see mine too.

Until next time, live, laugh and love and enjoy all the little things in life
